Hunter Stockholm started its operations in 1970 under the name Hundaffären as one of Stockholm's first specialized stores for dog owners. In 2018, we became Sweden's first Hunter Brand Store, and today we can offer our customers the entire range at hunter.de

The business today consists of a store for dog and cat accessories, a dog daycare, dog grooming, and veterinary services.

Our ambition is to provide our customers with quality products combined with a high level of customer service and knowledge about dogs.

To be eligible for the position, you need to have solid knowledge about dogs and/or relevant education (e.g., animal care high school, nature management high school, or dog care education), or an approved dog daycare education that can be verified.

It is an advantage if you also have experience selling products aimed at dog owners, as work in the store is part of the job.

If you also have previous experience as a dog daycare manager and have completed training as a dog daycare supervisor, we see this as a significant plus. However, we primarily see that you have the right attitude and can instruct and lead others in their work.

We are a small team where everyone depends on each other to deliver at the level our customers expect, and we focus a lot on ensuring that all employees feel good and know they are an important part of the business.

As an employer, we constantly strive to improve the conditions for our staff, to offer a pleasant and safe workplace, and to invest in the business and personnel.

Important personal qualities, in addition to understanding the importance of customer interaction, include feeling comfortable leading and distributing work, taking initiative and responsibility, collaborating with your colleagues, and understanding the importance of helping each other.

You will not have responsibility for results or personnel, but you need to have knowledge of the routines necessary to run a dog daycare - everything from daily routines to scheduling and staffing.

Job description:

  • Dog walks
  • Activation and play with the dogs between walks
  • Nail clipping
  • Bathing and drying dogs
  • Scheduling together with the store manager.
  • Responsibility for staffing the dog daycare (e.g., in case of illness and other interruptions to the regular schedule)
  • Responsibility for the occupancy of the dog daycare
  • Customer reception
  • Ongoing communication and information to customers
  • Store sales
  • Unpacking and pricing of goods
  • General cleaning

The position is 80% of a full-time job, i.e., 32 hours/week on average on a 3-week rolling schedule. There are good opportunities if you want to work more beyond scheduled working hours. Working hours vary according to a weekly schedule where you sometimes open the daycare at 7:30 AM and work until the afternoon, or start in the morning and work until closing at 6 PM for store duties. Every third weekend, you work in the store on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

A 6-month probationary period applies.

Hourly wage according to agreement.

Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible, so do not hesitate to send in your application if you are interested in working with us!
